Diversions features time-lapse footage captured in the Niagara Gorge.   It makes changes that are gradual and subtle to the naked eye - everything from 10-12 foot daily (3,650-4,380 foot yearly) water level fluctuations; to dramatic changes in surface texture and flow resulting from hydropower production along the waters edge - immediately visible. This moving image triptych runs twice daily in time with ritualized intake schedules regulated by bi-national authorities. Diversions will be changed 3 times throughout the year to correspond with the major tourist and non-tourist seasons.
